AI Sovereignty for Germany and Europe
Seamless integration and rapid team growth
Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA to Build One of Europe's Largest AI Factories
Deutsche Telekom, together with NVIDIA, is launching the development of one of Europe's largest AI factories. The Industrial AI Cloud, based in Munich, will provide German and European companies with access to state-of-the-art AI computing power starting in early 2026 – sovereign, secure, and Made for Germany.
Equipped with up to 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and delivering 0.5 EFLOPS of computing power, the new infrastructure will increase Germany's AI capacity by around 50 percent. It will enable companies to develop and train their own AI models and applications while fully complying with European data protection and security standards.
The partnership, valued at over one billion euros, brings together a strong ecosystem of partners including SAP, Perplexity, Agile Robots, and other industrial leaders. The goal: to strengthen digital sovereignty, foster industrial growth, and create new jobs in Germany.
"In just six months, we are turning an idea into real AI computing power – Made for Germany,"
says Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom.
"With the world's first Industrial AI Cloud, we're bringing NVIDIA AI and robotics to Germany to ignite a new era of industrial transformation,"
adds Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA.
The Industrial AI Cloud will empower companies across industries such as engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and research to leverage AI efficiently and securely – from digital twins to large language models.
